The Last Seduction (1994)
Deadly Is the Female
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Linda Fiorentino turns in a sharp performance as perhaps the screen's nastiest femme fatale, ever, in this John Dahl ("Red Rock West") neo-noir. Slicing through men faster than a food processor, the actress surely would have scooped up an Oscar had the Academy not declared this film ineligible in 1994. When a man (Peter Berg) unwisely tries to pick her up in a bar, she decides to use him as part of a deadly scheme. Artisan's DVD features the panned-and-scanned version and no extras, but the film is so good, it's worth the price.
