Right Time
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Boasting a terrific supporting turn by two-time Oscar-winner Hilary Swank, Greg Marcks' snappy 11:14 finally opens in theaters after languishing for two years. Like a less glitzy, small-town version of Go, the film follows several story threads that all converge in a single moment, involving a traffic accident. The solid screenplay satisfyingly clicks everything together, unraveling little mysteries as it goes and leaving nothing hanging. In a lovely, earthy performance, Rachael Leigh Cook plays the centerpiece character, involved with nearly everyone in the story. Barbara Hershey, Patrick Swayze, Ben Foster, Henry Thomas, and Shawn Hatosy also pitch in.
