Table Guy
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Writer/Director Francis Veber (La Cage Aux Folles, Three Fugitives, Out on a Limb) is back with another incredibly broad French farce. In the film, rich socialites attempt to bring as their guest the biggest idiot they can find to a dinner party. The movie focuses on one socialite and one idiot who never make it to the party. (Veber told me that these parties do exist.) The Dinner Game is well crafted and Jacques Villeret gives a fine performance as the idiot, but if you don't like this type of movie to begin with (I don't), you won't be converted this time around.
