High School Lows

Anderson  Directed by Simon Shore and adapted by Patrick Wilde from his own play, GetReal is a gay British high school romance in which a nerd falls in love with atrack star, and his love is reciprocated. Unfortunately, not only can they notreveal their homosexuality, but class lines in high school prevent them frombeing seen together at all. Instead, they must go to "the woods," a dangerousarea that brings both lovers and predators down to a primal level. Get Realranks just above movies like She's All That and Jawbreaker; it suffers frommany of the same flaws as those movies, but is still charming and romantic enoughto get by.
