By Jeffrey M. Anderson Nominated for Best Documentary Feature this year, Lenny Bruce: Swear to Tell the Truth succeeds beautifully on two counts: it's a brilliantly edited portrait of one of the greatest performers of the century, and it's a scathing account of the American Justice System gone horribly wrong. On both counts this movie -- 12 years in the making -- is utterly timeless and essential viewing today. Robert De Niro narrates. Don't miss it. (Sadly, this film has, to the best of my knowledge, never been released on video.)
