That's 'Life'
By Jeffrey M. Anderson This is a lightweight art house movie from director Hugh Hudson (Chariots of Fire). I found myself involved during the screening but the experience had faded a few hours later. Robert Norman stars as Fraser, a ten-year old who lives in a big stone house in Scotland. His Uncle Morris (Malcolm McDowell) brings home a young bride (Irene Jacob) and both Fraser and his father (Colin Firth) develop crushes on her. The plot includes some goofy subplots about a crazy hairy man who lives in the woods and the father's kooky inventions. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio also stars as Firth's noble wife.
