Learning to 'Relax'
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Writer/director P.J. Castellaneta's new movie starts out with a phony "educational film" beginning, debunking a few myths about homosexuality. The movie unintentionally continues along that line, pandering to us with annoying overwritten dialogue that even actors as good as Jennifer Tilly and Lori Petty can't overcome. But then, strangely, after a violent and disturbing midpoint, it gets better. The characters loosen up, and they sound like they're actually talking instead of reading dialogue. Relax... It's Just Sex plays for two weeks at the Castro, beginning March 5. With: Mitchell Anderson, Terrence 'T.C.'
