Good 'Boys'
By Jeffrey M. Anderson In Norman Taurog's Boys Town, Spencer Tracy won an Oscar for his hearty portrayal of Father Flanagan, a priest who established the title organization to help troubled boys, while Mickey Rooney chews the scenery as his most difficult delinquent. There's only one Christmas scene, but the movie's sentimental mood makes for nice holiday viewing. The disc also comes with a sequel, Men of Boys Town (1941), a short and a trailer.
