Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter (1966)
Monsters & Cowboys
By Jeffrey M. Anderson This truly awful film, the last by the prolific William "One Shot" Beaudine, is presented on this new Elite Entertainment DVD in a dreary video transfer, but you wouldn't want to actually watch the film anyway. The reason to see this must-have disc is drive-in critic and legendary columnist Joe Bob Briggs' brilliant commentary track. Briggs has already contributed one of the best DVD commentary tracks, ever, with I Spit on Your Grave. This one isn't quite as intense -- the film doesn't inspire as much discussion -- but it's certainly a hoot. Briggs has obviously seen the film many times and still can't quite believe how bad it is.
