Rufus (George Carlin), a man from the future, gives a phone booth time machine to couple of brain-dead Sam Dimas, California rockers in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) travel all over history, collecting major figures for their high school report, including Napoleon (Terry Camilleri), Joan of Arc (Jane Wiedlin) and Billy the Kid (Dan Shor). Reeves and Winter make the characters stupidly likable and popularized all kinds of surf-speak, like "dude," "bogus," "whoa," and many more.
