Riding Again

Rouben Mamoulian's studio-era production of the famed adventure classic feels a bit rigid and talky compared to the more rambunctious Douglas Fairbanks version (1920) and the sexier Antonio Banderas version (1998). But with Tyrone Power in the lead, it still finds room for bright, playful fun and some elegant sword fighting. Kino Lorber issued it on Blu-ray in 2016. It comes with the same audio commentary track, by film critic Richard Schickel, and the same A&E "Biography" episode (Tyrone Power) that were featured on the 2003 disc. This disc also includes trailers.
