By Jeffrey M. Anderson  One of the founding members of Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett wrote many of the band's freaky, early albums, like (1967)and the tracks on (1971). He's often referred to when peoplediscuss mad artistic geniuses. But this BBC documentary is packaged andpresented using the tired, standard-issue format with talking heads(mostly rock journalists), clips and narration -- hardly a proper formatto discuss someone of Barrett's stature. However, this should tide overfans until something better comes along.
