Coffee Fable

Acclaimed indie filmmaker Ramin Bahrani broke out with the simple, powerful Man Push Cart, drawing us into a world of loneliness, but with a glimmer of hope. Ahmad Razvi is the man who pushes (actually, pulls) his cart through the gritty early morning streets to sell coffee and bagels to New Yorkers on their way to work. Bahrani beautifully focuses on the comfort of routine as a way of avoiding heartbreak and tragedy. Leticia Dolera co-stars as a Spanish newsstand girl who might just be perfect for Ahmad, if not for various circumstances standing in their way.
