The Accidental Spy (2001)
'Spy' Kid
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Jackie Chan stars in The Accidental Spy (2001, Buena Vista Home Video, $29.99), a vintage Hong Kong film made in-between his Hollywood productions. While it lacks pizzazz, it contains one dazzling sequence in which Chan runs naked through a shopping district (having been surprised by the bad guys in a sauna), and acrobatically wraps himself up in a long white cloth to disguise himself. This U.S. version is, of course, edited by some 20 minutes.
