Confound Trip
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Adapted by Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting) from his collection of short stories, The Acid House is a good drug/cult movie that assaults our jaded senses with a fuck-all intensity. It's made up of three short stories about the sludge of Scottish society. We meet: Bob, who loses everything he has in one day, meets God in a bar, and gets turned into a housefly; Johnny, who marries a no-good pregnant whore and passively accepts everything that comes to him; and Coco, who drops acid and switches personalities with a newborn baby. The Acid House is not for the easily offended. (Note that because the Scottish accents in this film are so thick, this movie is subtitled.)
