Bugging Out
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Woody Allen provides the lead voice and many of the one-liners for Z, ananimated worker ant in an ant colony. Z falls in love with the colony's princess(voiced by Sharon Stone) and finds himself as her sole protector after an attackby evil bugs. Though the story is standard formula kids' fare, the Allen presencebrings an adult swing to it, making it more than passable for both. And thedigital computer animation is astounding, even if the bugs aren't as round andcuddly as in Disney's A Bug's Life. A wonderful cast of voices rounds out therest of the characters: Sylvester Stallone, Jennifer Lopez, Gene Hackman,Christopher Walken, Danny Glover, Anne Bancroft, Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, JohnMahoney, and Paul Mazursky.
