Move Through the Room Like Ambulance Drivers
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Directed by Scott Ziehl, this movie starts out promisingly, telling the story of a pair of ambulance drivers, greenhorn Tom (Jason London), and reckless and experienced Jimmy (Todd Field from Eyes Wide Shut). Tom gets into the swing of things fast enough and soon both men are shooting, snorting, and smoking all kinds of drugs. Broken Vessels is competently made but it tells the same old story of drug addiction that Trainspotting (1996) told much better. Still, the characters are vividly painted and Broken Vessels holds our interest.
