Paper-thin 'Moon'
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Tony Goldwyn is best known as the evil yuppie who tries to move in on Demi Moore in Ghost. But now he's directed his first movie, thanks to help from executive producer Dustin Hoffman. Liev Schreiber (Sphere), Diane Lane (Rumble Fish), and Viggo Mortensen (Crimson Tide) star in a love triangle circa the summer of '69 (complete with moonwalk and Woodstock). Schreiber and Lane create beautifully balanced portraits of their husband-and-wife characters, but Mortensen as Lane's clandestine love interest is nothing but a symbol of beauty and freedom. Anna Paquin is brilliant as the newly sexually-awakened daughter.
