Horseplay
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Bucking Broadway is a nifty, recently resurrected, early Western by John Ford, filmed and set in 1917. A cowboy (Harry Carey) is just about to lose the woman he loves to a city-bred lothario and must ride to the rescue. Ford clearly relishes the indelible image of horses clopping between the cars through the city streets.
