Christmas Past
By Jeffrey M. Anderson MGM's slick adaptation of Dickens's novel feels truncated, hammering home certain points too much and leaving out other points entirely. It's vastly inferior to the 1951 English production. Reginald Owen stars as Scrooge, and the disc comes with the amazing Oscar-winning cartoon Peace on Earth (1939).
