Flip of the Tongue
By Jeffrey M. Anderson A cool little oddity. William Shatner made this, the only movie ever filmed in Esperanto, just before his huge "Star Trek" fame. A cute but evil succubus (Allyson Ames) decides to stop killing vain humans and tries her luck on a virtuous one (Shatner) instead. The only existing print of the film has French subtitles on it, so the English subtitles are matted over those. Nevertheless, Fox Lorber's DVD looks great, and comes with tons of extras, including a new Shatner commentary track. Oscar-winner Conrad Hall (American Beauty) was the cinematographer, and contributes a separate commentary track.
