Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988)

By Jeffrey M. Anderson

Surely one of the most ridiculously enjoyable "B" movies of the 1980s, David DeCoteau's Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama features three of the top "scream queens," Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens, and Michelle Bauer in one movie! Brinke and Michelle play "Taffy" and "Lisa," two sorority pledges who are sent — along with two peeping tom boys — to a local bowling alley to steal a trophy. Linnea plays "Spider," a burglar who is already there, breaking in. They accidentally drop the trophy and unleash an imp, "Uncle Impy," who promises to grant wishes. These, of course, involve money and sex, and, of course, are not real wishes. The price is that some characters turn into monsters, and an all-out battle ensues. The imp is surely one of the worst visual effects in the history of cinema, but this is undeniably a fun film.
