I once decided that if I could only take movies from one studio to a desert island, it would be RKO Pictures.
RKO had Orson Welles's first few films, Val Lewton's horror movies, the Fred & Ginger musicals, the early Disney films,
King Kong, It's a Wonderful Life, a batch of Hitchock pictures, and the list goes on. I didn't think it would
be possible for another studio to gather that kind of talent, and inspire a passionate following, especially these days. But
A24 has been a breath of fresh air for over ten years now, providing the most daring and original movies in theaters, an essential
antidote to corporate-produced money-makers. This studio is about the love of movies, the art of movies. Here's a list of every
A24 film I have managed to review so far. I'll update this list as I manage to see more. (Added July 20, 2024)
